Yeah, it's breezy & cool today. I'm baking more pumpkin seeds right now. Hooray, it feels like fall.

Yesterday

It is so sad to me that on October 20 at 5:30 in the evening, my children were having a squirt gun fight in the front yard in their bathing suits. Don't worry, I'm going to keep on complaining.

Be Careful What You Bitch For

So after all that complaining about short attention span kindergarteners, I have just accepted a job to be their permanent teacher until August. There is definately a down side, but the upside includes an income I can count on and health insurance, which sucks to pay for on your own. It also sucks to be pregnant and have to pay for it yourself. So, November 3 I'll be teaching every afternoon for three hours. The kids are on track break right now.
It felt kind of nice today. We had Second Sunday Dinner tonight outside. It was actually chilly and I enjoyed it. Along with the company of close friends- Meghann, Sia, Kristi & John. I thought it was a good gathering. The parenting class is very good. It is fun to talk honestly with other parents in Apex about what's going on and listen to suggestions from others.
I wanted to blog, but really don't have anything new going on except for the new employment.

How Sweet the Sound

Loredana was singing her version of "Jesus Loves Me" at the store today. So sweet.

It's Still Hot

While I was dusting last night, I cleaned the glass fireplace screen that the kids like to touch. I thought, "How nice it would be if it was cold out and we had a fire in the fireplace." I know it wouldn't warm the room, but remember..... I want it to be cold. It will be close to ninety all week. I think this is a joke.

Sick House. Happy House.

For the past few weeks, most every one in the house has been sick in some form or another. Yesterday was my second day in the last three weeks of being really sick- in bed kind of sick. Being sick sucks.
As I was laying in bed SICK, I would nod off to sleep and wake up periodically for no apparent reason. I woke up during dinner. I woke up after dinner when everyone was getting their shoes to go outside. I woke up during bathtime. I woke up when someone was mopping the entryway. I woke up right before they put Survivor on. I woke up during Tribal Council. I woke up after Survivor was over. Everytime I woke up I heard voices. I heard dishes and forks. I heard laughter. I heard talking. I heard a happy house; a family that was enjoying being together. I wanted to be there too.
